About 26.9 percent of the 67 degrees and certificates handed out by the United Tribes Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Bismarck conferred 9 associate's degrees and 9 bachelor's degrees in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies. Data shows the school gave out 9 associate's degrees in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies, followed by 9 bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies and 9 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General.

The college enrolled 483 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
