Name: Capitol Shakespeare’s youth theater program, The Young Bards, to perform a brief version of Hamlet.

Event Description:

This year's guest director for The Young Bards is Dr. Daniel Devlin, the Assistant Professor of Theater at Bismarck State College. 

The Young Bards program seeks to train young actors in methods of expression and interpretation of classical text. Students will learn and grow in their understanding of theater, iambic pentameter, physical expression, and emotional commitment to a character. They will help select scenes, write their own introductions, and establish a performance order to create a fluid and engaging final performance. 

This program is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's Sensational Sundays series. Sensational Sundays are free cultural programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours.

Location: North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, Bismarck.
